This App is so powerful! When using “Deep Search” function (not “search” function), you can find the meaning of a word in any declension or conjugation!

Just a search bar that couldn't define simple words

I bought this to look up the spell Expecto Patronum, but none of the two words found. Is my spell too professional? But this app isn't free so it's expected to be more or less powerful.

I love this app but there needs to be an update so the app isn't so small on like the iPhone 5s. If that was to be updated and fixed I would so give 5 stars!!!

This app is great but with the most recent update I can no longer type in the search bar for whatever reason. Please fix this bug! Otherwise I love this app and very strongly recommend it, as it offers so much detailed information for each word!

Like that it downloads locally, but no "stare" or "decisis" listing? Hard to believe.

The only thing I would change is different colors so I could read it better. Other than that, it helps a lot with a synopsis and stuff of that nature. it has been crashing often though. I would not buy it, if you haven't already. Google translate is pretty good if you are just looking up words.

I am a beginner student of latin and wanted a latin dictionary that worked offline and was simple but not lacking and that is exactly what I got. It is reliable and hasn't been wholly lacking in most words I've searched. The primary problems I've seen is that, when searching, it almost always requires you to search a word from a particular declension or will not find it rather than the alternative of being able to predict what the word is you want. Also the fact results aren't shown as you type is mildly annoying. Overall very useful for beginner students such as myself and could be more so with minimal effort put into it. (Highly recommended for beginners; all others should keep looking)

This app offers a lot for $0.99. Only wish I could search using an English term. Then it would be 5 stars.

This app is just a dictionary used for looking up words that are not declined or conjugated. The words need to be in their original state in order for this app to fin them. Example: the app does not know what the word Feminae is, but knows what the word Femina is. This app is only helpful in looking up words in their non declined/conjugated state. However, once you find a word in that state, then it is helpful in the fact that it gives you a lot of detailed information as stated in the other reviews.

I purchased this app to better understand the Latin translations for all the botanical names I need to learn. I took several years of Latin in school & know that various forms of a word will affect search - but even with the variety of searches I found this app has barely any of those words i need to know

This is the best, especially since I'm a Latin nerd!

I use it with SPQR. SPQR is good, but it doesn't have chart for every word in all cases, gender and number, so I have to look for case endings and put them all together. But with this one, I don't have to do it anymore! It tells you the declension/conjugation, the word translation and its all endings. I love it!

Pixelated interface designed for pre-retina display devices. Lack of words, including basics like "ruber" (red). Doesn't recognize conjugated/declined forms. Searching Wiktionary itself is more helpful than this app. I'm disappointed I spent 99¢ on this.

Does not have even common words.

I strongly recommend this app for any Latin student. It has made my book's dictionary unnecessary, and also offers conjugation of many of the words.

I am only half way through the Wheelock grammar. While reading Coplestons history of philosophy I come across many Latin phrases and this app is the key to my understanding. If you can't find a word try cutting off a few letters to get to the possible root. This is very helpful. Jeff Z

This breaks out words fully to demonstrate all the grammar. It's the only latin app I know that gives that much detail.

It's helped me with translations when I didn't feel like cracking open a dictionary.

Does my homework for me

Perfect for looking up Latin words, as far as declension, conjugation, inflection, the forms of types of participle. It really is perfect. There's no English to Latin word lookup, but I think that would detract from the app's purpose anyway.

This app has been super helpful in my Latin studies. While I have no issue remembering conjugations, declensions, and other rules of Latin grammar, vocabulary comes slower. This app has proven itself a boon in research and completing homework much more efficiently. Well worth the price. Cheers! Rodney

It a great app. I wish the search results would better like in Latin lite as you type it gives suggestions. And we should be able to browse alphabetically. Also, how about being able to type in a word in any declension and conjugation? Hope to see this in further updates.! The declensions lists are great.

Its ok i found it very frustrating. I downloaded it hoping it would help me for looking up words. But typed in three and none came up . Also wish there was a way to search English words and get the Latin meaning

You can't look up the Latin version of an English word.

It's good enough for my Latin teacher let's me and class! but there are a few things missing but overall really good.

This app is very well put together and useful. I strongly recommend this to fellow Latin students because not only does it find the words for you but it also declines them too! EVEN ADJECTIVES! Must buy for Latin students and its only $1!

Having all the grammar included is a huge bonus.

It's nice if you doing homework or something and you don't know a word but there is no english to latin, only latin to english. Also you have to search a specific word, you can't just go through the alphabet. I also think a quotes section and word of the day would be nice.

It is a good definition app but it should have these in the next update 1. a full sentence translating section 2. english to latin 3. latin to english 4. 2nd, 3rd, and 4th of verbs 5. genitive and gender for nouns Great app

As basic refresher it is ok. It meets my current needs and curiosity.

If you know the first principle part of everything, then this app is worth it. It's more for browsing words, than looking for what they mean.

I am a Latin student in high school, and I thought hey this could help cause I'm always using Wiktionary. Bad idea. This app only works if you now the first principle part, nomnitive form of a noun, etc. The Wiktionary website works waaaaaaay better than this app, plus that is actually free (more or less for me cause I use an iPhone with a data plan). Complete waste of a dollar.

The app looks great and the content is great.
